WELCOME TO MARS
Welcome to Mars is a scientific seminar at KISD, led by Alicia Shao. In this class, students were asked to speculate on the far future, and imagine what life might be like when humans eventually settle on Mars. Each group of students pretended to be a Martian government ministry and came up with policies and artefacts that would live in the Martian ecosystem. The goal of this project was not to be predictive but to use creativity to spark conversations about the political power of designing for futures.
